Aly Salem

Aly joined Ezdehar in 2025 and has over four years of investment analysis and advisory experience. At Ezdehar, Aly supports the execution and portfolio management of new investments, including financial modelling, market research, and screening of investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Ezdehar, Aly was an Associate at Compass Capital, a private equity and investment banking firm, where he held multiple roles across the investment team between 2019 and 2025. At Compass, he was involved in both principal investing and advisory mandates across a wide range of sectors.

On the advisory side, Aly worked on several notable M&A transactions, including advising Intro Group on its $32 million acquisition of BariQ for Advanced Industries, the largest plastic recycler in the Middle East and Africa. On the investment side, he supported Compass’s portfolio companies, including Rameda Pharmaceuticals, where he was involved in the pre-IPO preparations leading up to the company’s listing in December 2019, and in ongoing shareholder support post-IPO. He also supported Bonyan, a real estate investment platform, with general portfolio monitoring and strategy.

Throughout his time at Compass, Aly was also actively involved in the screening and evaluation of opportunities across a diverse range of sectors, including mortgage finance, gold, software, food & beverage, oil & gas, non-bank financial services, healthcare, fashion & apparel, and hospitality.
Aly holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University.
