about ezdehar

01 who we are

Established in 2015, Ezdehar emerged as a leading private equity fund manager in Egypt, successfully raising its first fund in 2016 despite operating in challenging times on both the political and economic fronts. Today, we completed several successful investments, exited some of them, and are in progress of making further investments and raising our second fund.

Ezdehar aims to identify and partner with successful companies with promising growth prospects. We look for businesses who are seeking investment that is coupled with true partnership to accelerate growth, unlock value, and create lasting legacies. For our investors, we aim to provide superior returns using a rigorous investment process, strong portfolio management, and world-class reporting and communications.

Ezdehar aims to become the leading private equity firm in the Middle East. We will do this by attracting and developing the best team in our industry, develop lasting partnership with leading investors, and diligently work on finding and developing investments that will serve as case studies in investment and portfolio management excellence.

We define our core purpose as: Driving Prosperity, Building Legacies. This is what drives us at our core. We aim to contribute to the prosperity of the region that we live in and to the well-being of its people. We do this by helping to build companies that are not only leaders in their fields, but also establish lasting legacies that all stakeholders can look at with pride.

We, at Ezdehar, place Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) at the heart of what we do. We believe that the integration of ESG within the strategies and practices of our partner businesses is not only a part of being a responsible investor, but also creates value for all stakeholders in the long term.

Working closely with management teams, we draw upon local laws and regulations and international best practices to implement processes and procedures that fully incorporate ESG considerations. We strive to ensure that working conditions, corporate ethics, diversity and environmental issues are prioritized within the working practices of the businesses we work with – while also focusing on strong financial performance.

Ezdehar’s Responsible Investment Code defines our commitment to the integration and consideration of environmental, social and governance risks and value-creation opportunities through our investments’ lifecycle. The code is incorporated in all our shareholder and partnership agreements, which we believe is critical to maintaining the confidence of our investors and partner companies.
