Amina Khalil
ESG & Business Integrity Officer
Amina Khalil is a sustainability specialist with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of economics, impact, and sustainability. Since beginning her career in 2012, she has focused on aligning private sector growth with environmental and social development, particularly in emerging markets.
At Ezdehar, she leads the firm’s ESG performance and contributes to shaping its sustainability strategy, embedding responsible investment practices and long-term value creation across the portfolio. Her work includes ESG due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of frameworks aligned with the 2X Criteria, Egypt Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Previously, Amina spent over three years at the Bank of Alexandria, where she designed and implemented ESG and sustainable finance frameworks in line with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s global strategy. She led initiatives in climate finance, social inclusion, and financial literacy, directly contributing to national sustainable development priorities under Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Her earlier role at Orascom Development involved spearheading environmental and social initiatives, public-private partnerships, and carbon reduction strategies for El Gouna, supporting its ambition to become a carbon-neutral city.
Amina holds a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo and an MSc in Environment & Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is certified in ESG investing by the CFA Institute and has completed advanced training in systems leadership and sustainable finance through the THNK School of Creative Leadership and AUC’s Banking Credit program.
