About

With more than 8 years of experience, Amina focuses on the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors across the firm’s portfolio and monitors its ESG performance over time.

 

She joins Ezdehar from Bank of Alexandria (Intesa Sanpaolo), after having spent more than three years at the bank where she was responsible for the development of ESG frameworks for the management of the bank’s direct and indirect environmental and social risks and impacts in line with its Italian mother company, Intesa Sanpaolo Group. She also implemented sustainable finance projects advancing financial literacy and inclusion goals as laid out in Egypt’s Vision 2030.

 

Prior to that, she was CSR & Sustainability Assistant Manager at Orascom Development focused on the initiation of environmental sustainability projects, establishment of strategic partnerships as well as the creation of cross-functional synergies to contribute to El Gouna, the company’s flagship project, becoming carbon neutral. Her interest and passion for environmental and social sustainability was sparked during her first job at the Social Contract Center, a joint initiative between the Information & Decision Support Center at the Egyptian Cabinet and the United Nations Development Programme.

 

Amina is a trained economist with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the American University in Cairo and a Master of Science degree in Environment & Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. Most recently, she has received her Banking Credit Course Certificate from the American University in Cairo.
