With more than 25 years of investing and operations experience. Karim is a member of the firm’s portfolio committee, where he co-leads portfolio management efforts and focuses on helping Ezdehar’s portfolio companies  scale operations efficiently and drive profitability through hands-on coaching and consulting engagements. Karim leads the implementation of a proprietary tailored program to scale up and transform Ezdehar’s portfolio companies from mid-sized corporations and family businesses to institutionalized corporations that often evolve to become market leaders.

 

Karim also works with leading clients across the Middle East through his position as an Affiliate with Aberkyn, a McKinsey & Co. subsidiary focused on leadership development. Karim has previously worked in industry, management consulting, and private equity, for blue chip companies including Procter & Gamble, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Citadel Capital.

 

Karim is also an entrepreneur and has launched and managed two start-ups (Tabibi 24/7 and Kompass Education) in the medical and education fields, respectively.

 

Karim holds an MBA from INSEAD, a BSc in Engineering from the American University in Cairo and has completed executive education courses at the Harvard and Stanford business schools.
